LWC Soccer Travels to Campbellsville Tonight By Brady Budke The No. 7-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's soccer team and the No. 8-ranked Men's Soccer team returns to action tonight in their final regular season match of the season on the road in a Mid-South Conference battle at Campbellsville (KY) beginning at 5pmCT with the women's matchup, followed by the men's matchup at 7pmCT. The Blue Raiders women's soccer team (11-3-1, 7-0-0 MSC) returns to the field after a 1-0 double overtime victory at Walter S. Reuling Stadium against Cumberlands (KY) on October 27th. Sophomore forward Sina Cavelti serves as the anchor for the Lindsey Wilson offense, leading the team with 11 goals, 27 points, 60 total shots, and 29 shots on goal. Cavelti currently averages 1.80 points per match, which ranks first in the Mid-South Conference. Senior midfielder Emilie Liljered has notched nine goals and two assists this season and sits behind Cavelti with 20 points for the Blue Raiders. Sophomore midfielder Thea Birgerud holds the team lead with seven assists and has recorded a goal in four of the last five matches. On defense, Junior goalkeeper Eveljn Frigotto leads the team with 63 saves on the season, which sits fourth-best in the Mid-South Conference. Senior goalkeeper Jovana Ivanovic recorded 13 saves and a shutout win in her first start of the season against the Patriots, earning NAIA Women's Soccer Defender of the Week. The Campbellsville women's soccer team (11-3-0, 4-2-0 MSC) returns to action after defeating Georgetown (KY) 1-0 on the road October 26th. The Tigers come into tonight's match with a high-powered offense, ranking second in the NAIA in shots-on-goal per game (13.64), third in shots per game (26.0), fifth in goals per game (4.36), and eighth in total goals (61). In their freshman seasons, forward Jessie Bryson has amassed a team-high in goals (10) and points (21), while midfielder Sangmin Cha has garnered three goals and a team-high eight assists. On defense, junior goalkeeper Katelyn Young has tallied 37 saves, five shutout victories, and an 11-2-0 overall record. The Lindsey Wilson men's soccer team (10-3-0, 6-1-0 MSC) returns to the field tonight after defeating Cumberlands (KY) 3-1 at home on October 27th. This season, senior forward Akean Shackleford ranks first in the NAIA in shots per match (5.82) and third in shots-on-goal per match (3.09). The offensive trio of Shackleford, freshman midfielder Oscar Dueso, and senior midfielder Bruno Henrique has combined for 76 of the teams 120 points this season. On defense, the Blue Raiders have allowed 14 goals in 13 matches played while recording four shutout victories. Junior goalkeeper David Coffey has tallied 46 saves en route to an 8-1-0 overall record. The Campbellsville men's soccer team (10-3-1, 4-2-0 MSC) comes into tonight's match after defeating Georgetown 1-0 on October 26th. The Tigers defense highlights their success this season, as they've recorded a Mid-South Conference best nine shutout victories this season, while only allowing a conference best nine goals in 14 matches played. On offense, senior midfielder Marc Lawrence leads Campbellsville with seven goals and 18 points while being tied for the team lead in assists with four.
