Elizabeth Ann Richards, 78, Jamestown, KY (1941-2019)

Elizabeth Ann Cravens Richards of Jamestown, KY passed away Sunday, October 13th, at Russell County Hospital. She was 78 years old.

Religious services will be held at Jamestown First Baptist Church, 165 W Cumberland Ave, Jamestown, KY, at 11amCT on Thursday, October 17, 2019, with Bro. Scott Russell officiating. Burial will follow in the Rexroat Cemetery, Jamestown, KY.

Friends may visit on Wednesday from 4pmCT until 8pmCT and then on Thursday from 8amCT until time of service at Jamestown First Baptist Church.


Elizabeth was born in Russell Springs, KY on June 4, 1941, a daughter of the late Zellah (Cunningham) and Jason Cravens.

She was a member of Jamestown First Baptist Church Jamestown, KY, and was a retired School Teacher.

She was the wife of Eldridge Richards, of Jamestown, KY

Elizabeth is also survived by
  • Two daughters, Susan (John) Peck, of Columbia, KY; and Melissa (Dr. Chuck) Giles, of Columbia, KY;
  • A sister, Sue Cravens Stivers, of Columbia, KY.
  • Seven grandchildren, Hannah, Emily, and Aaron Peck; Baylor, Clay, Chaz (Samantha) and Van Giles
  • A great granddaughter, Josie Giles
  • A host of nieces, nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, grandson Hayden Peck, 3 brothers, Leland, Adrain, and James Cravens and a sister Mazelle Andrews

The family requests memorial donations to the Russell County Hospital Auxiliary, or Jamestown First Baptist Church. These can be made at the church.
