Janice Butler, 62

Janice Butler, 62, 1098 Knifley Road, Columbia, KY, passed away Monday, May 26, 2003, at 2:30 a.m. at Westlake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Columbia. The funeral service will be Wednesday, May 28, 2003, at 3:00 p.m., at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, officiated by Bro. Jerry Putteet and Bro. Hugh Withers.
Mrs. Butler was co-owner of Holmes Bend Marina, which she and her husband developed from a busy boat dock into a major lakeside resort.

She was a member of the Charity Baptist Church, the Kentucky Marina Association, and a member of Eastern Star #435 in Columbia.

She was the daughter of the late Orval and Ruby Keltner Sexton.

She is survived by her husband, David Louis Butler, Columbia.

Also surviving are the following:
  • One daughter, Kelly Caldwell and her husband, Joey, Columbia
  • One brother, Ronnie Sexton and his wifeMargaret of Hillview, KY
  • And three grandchildren, Tanner and Kyndal Caldwell and Kyle Butler.
Interment will be in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Charity Baptist Church Building Fund and may be made at the funeral home.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Visitation will be after 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 27, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Joe Pyles, Randall Pyles, Gayle Pickett, Lynn McLean, Russell Guy Perkins, and Tony Baker.
