Mary Lee Taylor, Adair County, KY (d. Sun 25 May 2017).

She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Columbia, KY, and was retired after a career with the Kentucky Department of Transportation, working at the Edmonton Toll Booth. She was a member of a highly regarded Adair County, KY family. She leaves six direct living descendants.

Mary Lee Taylor, 709 Bomar Heights, Columbia, KY, died Sunday, May 25, 2003, at 12:22amCT, at Westlake Regional Hospital Emergency Room, Columbia, KY. The funeral will be Thursday, May 29, 2003, at 2pmCT, at First Baptist Church with Rev. Leon Lasley officiating.


She was the daughter of the late Cleo Jones.

Her husband, Robert Taylor, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Taylor was a member of First Baptist Church. She recently retired from the Kentucky Department of Transportation, working at the Edmonton Toll Booth.

She is survived by the following:
  • Her husband, Virgil Oates, Columbia
  • A daughter-in-law, Loretta Taylor
  • A daughter, Nicole Taylor
  • Grandchildren, Walter Ray Taylor, Robert L. Taylor, David Lee Taylor, Cynthia Rollins, and Michael Taylor
  • and one niece, Pam Staples and all of her beloved sisters-in-law.
Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 28, 2003, at Grissom Funeral Home.
