LWC Women's swimming loses to Cumberlands in dual By Grace Blomstedt The Lindsey Wilson women's swimming team lost to Mid-South Conference opponent Cumberlands (Ky.) 166-87 Saturday afternoon in the Holloway Center Natatorium. The Blue Raiders (0-1) swam six A-cut times and three B standards in the meet. Senior Jessica MacDonald recorded the two first-place finishes for Lindsey Wilson. In the 200-yard individual medley she touched the wall in B-cut time of two minutes and 17.11 seconds. Macdonald finished the 100-yard freestyle with an A standard time of 55.07 to edge out Carlene Taylor who finished in second place with a B standard time of 56.51. The quartet of Annissa Koekemoer, Taylor, Narjiss Bourbouh, and Macdonald started off the meet with a second-place finish and an A-cut time in the 200-yard medley relay (1:55.22). Narjiss Bourbouh recorded two A-cut times of 1:01.52 and 2:15.89 in the 100 and 200-yard butterfly, respectively, while finishing second in both events. Macdonald finished in second-place in the 200-yard freestyle with an A standard time of 2:01.42. Koekemoer placed second in the 100-yard backstroke with a B-cut time of 1:03.63. To close the meet, the grouping of Jaye Farthing, Nissrine Bourbouh, Sarah Hahn, and Natalie Lohman swam an A standard time of 1:50.36 to earn second place.
