Dennis (Denny) Gene Withers, 68, Russell County, KY native

Dennis (Denny) Gene Withers, age 68, died quietly in his sleep Thursday, October 3, 2019 at his residence.

His funeral will be Saturday October 5, 2019 at 3pmCT at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 E. Steve Wariner Dr., Russell Springs. Visitation will be from 12-3pmCT on Saturday. Interment in Wilkerson Cemetery, Russell Springs, KY.



He was born on December 17 1950, the son of the late Olen and Mae Branscum Withers.

He was a loving and caring son, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He loved the Lord, and was saved and baptized at Portsmouth Baptist Church and used God's word as his moral compass. He owned and operated with his brother Mike, Withers Brothers Trucking Inc.

He is survived by:

2 Children - Ralph Warnock, South Shore, Kentucky and Christina Warnock, Portsmouth, Ohio

4 Grandchildren

2 Brothers - Michael Withers, South Carolina and Jeffrey Jones of Russell Springs

2 Sisters - Sandy Gilliam of Portsmouth, Ohio and Brenda Haws of Wheelersburg, Ohio

3 Nieces and a nephew survive

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Brandon Gilliam.

Wilson Funeral Home in Russell Springs in charge of arrangements.
