CPD: Contraband at Adair Regional Jail

By Officer Adam Cravens

On Tuesday, October 1, 2019, officers were asked to respond to Adair Regional Jail shortly before 2amCT, after an inmate who was being booked in from Cumberland County was found to have concealed contraband.

A party was being searched as part of the booking process when a Deputy Jailer located a clear plastic baggie which contained a white crystal substance the individual had been concealing.

Jevonda Cundiff, 49, of Louisville, was charged at the jail with promoting contraband 1st degree as well as possession of methamphetamine 3rd or greater offense; both felonies.

This is the third instance in just over three weeks where jail staff have located suspected methamphetamine on individual parties as they have been booked into the jail.
