LWC Women's golf finishes 2nd at the E TN Collegiate By Christopher Coombs Johnson City, TN - The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team held their position from day one to finish in second place at the East Tennessee Collegiate. The Blue Raiders finished the two-round tournament held at Johnson City Country Club - a par-72, 5,872-yard course - with a total score of 624 (304-320). The effort was 16 strokes off the pace set by tournament champions Milligan (Tenn.) who was able to score a 608 (296-312) over two rounds. Tennessee Wesleyan took third, finishing seven strokes behind LWC with a two day total of 631 (312-319). Claire McLaughlin made the biggest jump during her second round as she was able to move from her position in 10th into a tie for fourth. She totaled 152 (77-75) strokes on her tournament as she carded two birdies during her final round. Zofia Wojcik struggled during her final round after being tied for the lead following her first 18 holes yesterday. Wojcik carded a 1-under par 71 on the first day before firing an 82 to finish in a tie for 8th place at 9-over par. Dacie Bolton finished alone in 16th with a 159 (77-82) as Tara Rodenhurst finished just behind in a tie for 17th with a 160 (79-81). Megan Mann would place in a tie for 23rd after carding a 162 (80-82). Katie Biddlecome played as an individual where she scored a 165 (81-84) for the tournament. The Blue Raiders are back on the course on Oct. 7-8, when they take part in the Mid-South Conference Fall Tournament at Gibson Bay Golf Club, 2000 Gibson Bay Dr, Richmond, KY.
