Carolyn Callison Pruitt, 79, Taylor County, KY Carolyn Callison Pruitt of Campbellsville, KY departed this life on Wednesday, September 25, 2019. She was 79 years of age. Funeral services will be conducted at 12noonCT/1pmET Sunday, September 29, 2019 at Auberry - Gupton & Chandler Funeral Home with burial to follow in Bethlehem Cemetery. Dr. James E. Jones officiating. Visitation is from 5-8pmET Saturday and after 7am Sunday until the time of the service. Pallbearers: Jimmy Benningfield and Deacons of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Honorary Pallbearers: Adult Women's Sunday School Class. She was the daughter of the late George B. Callison and Marjorie Hancock Callison, born on September 19, 1940 in Adair County, Kentucky. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She was employed as a secretary for many years and enjoyed canning, cooking and spending time with family. She united in marriage to Bobby "Bill" Pruitt on July 4, 1958, who survives. Besides her husband, she is survived by one son and daughter in law: Bruce W. Pruitt and wife Jennifer Clare of Radcliff, Kentucky; one daughter in law: Shanti Jha Pruitt of Indianapolis, Indiana; Grandchildren: Sarah Pruitt of Columbus, Ohio and Matthew Pruitt of Kalamazoo, Michigan. Two brothers and sister in law: Donald Callison of Athens, Alabama and George W. Callison and wife Jane of Hodgenville; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one son, Randall A. Pruitt in 2004 and one sister, Anette Callison. The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Christian Life Center at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church or the Hosparus of Green River.
