Dr. Damon Eubank to speak at CU chapel 9 Oct By Scarlett Birge, student news writer Office of University Communications CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Dr. Damon Eubank, professor of history at Campbellsville University and chair of the Department of Social Science, will speak at 9amCT/10amET Wednesday, Oct. 9 in Ransdell Chapel, 401 N. Hoskins Ave., Campbellsville, Ky. Everyone is invited to attend. Eubank is the author of over 75 scholarly articles, reviews and presentations in addition to publishing his own books. In 2004, his book, "The Response of Kentucky to the Mexican War, 1846-1848," was published and in 2009 his book, "In the Shadown of the Patriarch: John J. Crittenden Family in War and Peace," was published. Eubank has taught at Campbellsville University since 1989. Previously he taught as an adjunct instructor at Mississippi University for Women, East Mississippi Junior College and Elizabethtown Community College. He was a graduate teaching assistant at Mississippi State University and a graduate intern at Southern Union State Junior College. He has been a member of multiple professional organizations, including the Filson Club Historical Society as well as the Kentucky Historical Society since 1991 and the Historians of the Western Theatre of the Civil War since 1998. He graduated from North Hardin High School in 1977 and received his Bachelor of Science degree in History and Political Science from Campbellsville University in 1981. He earned his Master of Arts in College Teaching in History from Auburn University in 1984 and his Ph.D. in History from Mississippi State University in 1989. Eubank is the son of the late Ralph and Elizabeth Eubank. He is married to Lori Jadwin Eubank, and they have two children, Lorin and Micah. Chapel is designed to provide opportunities for corporate worship and exposure through a variety of informative speakers and presentations. All chapels are open to the public free of charge and are televised live on WLCU (Comcast Cable channel 10 and digital channel 23.0) and are streamed live on the internet at wlcutv.com.
