Darrell Raikes to speak at ABC meeting

September is SEPSIS awareness month. Sepsis is a life-threatening condition caused by the body's response to infection, which can lead to tissue damage, organ failure, amputations and death. 87% of sepsis cases start in the community. 42% of Americans have not heard of sepsis.

Mr. Darrel Raikes, Sepsis and ARDS survivor, will be speaking at the ABC Alliance for a Better Community (ABC) meeting on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at 11amCT/NoonET at the Taylor co. Extension Office, 1143 S. Columbia Avenue, Campbellsville, KY. To RSVP, please call 270-789-5862.

The ABC meeting is comprised of healthcare leaders and community laypersons in different counties/facilities working together to provide the best care possible for the community.



ABC meets bi-monthly. September's meeting is sponsored by Taylor Regional Hospital, along with Intrepid Home Health and in conjunction with Q-Source of Kentucky.
