Melvin Cravens, 90, Liberty, KY (1929-2019) Melvin Cravens of Liberty passed away on Saturday September 21st, 2019 at Lisa's Family Care. He was 90 years old. Funeral services will be held at 1pmET on Tuesday, September 24, 2019, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY Hwy 49, Liberty, KY, with Rev. Edward Parton and Bro. Robert Atwood officiating. Burial will follow in the Willow Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 11:30amET on Tuesday September 24, 2019, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. He was born in Labascus, KY on January 16th, 1929 a son of the late Herman and Anna Mae Roberts Cravens. Melvin was a mechanic. Survivors include: His Spouse: Rose Brown Cravens, One Son: Edward and (Jill) Cravens of California, KY, Two Step Daughters: Cynthia and (John) Nalley and Sandra and (Ronald) Parson, Three Grandchildren: Stephanie and (Dudley) Hardin, Joshua Cravens and Kelsey Cravens, Three Step Grandchildren: John Adam Nalley, Christopher Thomas Nalley and Christy Parson Mesher and Two Great Grandchildren: Mason Alexander Hardin and Cason Spencer Hardin. Preceding him in death besides his parents was his First Spouse: Laura Faye Clark Cravens, One Son: Patrick Brian Cravens, Two Brothers: Willard and James W. Cravens and Three Sisters: Jessie Sharp, Anna Ruth Martin and Matra Morgan. In Lieu of Flowers the family requests Memorials to be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
