LWC men's soccer hosts John Brown Thursday afternoon

The No. 14-ranked men's soccer team hosts John Brown at 2pmCT on Thursday, September 12, 2019, at Walter S. Reuling Stadium, 151 Holloway Drive, Columbia, KY.

Lindsey Wilson (1-1) is back after a 4-2 victory against No. 10 Spring Arbor on Saturday. A pair of Blue Raiders, Oscar Dueso and Renan Ramos, scored two goals apiece in the match. For his performance, Ramos was selected as the Mid-South Conference and the NAIA National Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week after coming off the bench and recording four shots, three on goal.



On the season, LWC's offensive attack is led by Dueso with 10 shots, five on goal, and two goals. Bruno Henrique, Wendel Gabriel, and Rainer De Jesus have each recorded an assist.

The Golden Eagles (3-1) are back in action after a 2-1 loss to No. 20 Columbia (Mo.) at home on Saturday. John Brown has accumulated a .156 shot to goal percentage and averages three goals per game this season. Jacob Zamarron paces JBU's offense with 10 points thanks to his three goals and four assists.

This is the first match-up between the Blue Raiders and the Golden Eagles.
