KSP: Columbia man sentenced to 23.5 years in prison By Tpr. Nick Hale On Tuesday, August 27, 2019, Joshua David Gayde, age 36 of Columbia, appeared in Adair Circuit Court and was sentenced after entering a guilty plea to nine charges involving sex crimes against a minor child that occurred between January 2014 and December 2017. Gayde pled guilty to four counts of First-Degree Rape involving a child under 12 years old and five counts of First-Degree Sexual Abuse involving a child under 12 years old. Pursuant to the plea agreement Gayde will serve a total of 23.5 years in the state penitentiary. Upon his release from prison Gayde will be required to register as a lifetime sex offender on the Kentucky State Sex Offender Registry.
