It is better to give than receive

By Norma Scott

Aaron Branham is having a birthday soon! He will be 14 in September, 2019 and is a freshman at the Adair County High School. This year, Aaron has chosen to celebrate his birthday in a giving--rather than receiving--manner.

Aaron will be having a Sock and Togie Drive through the entire month of September and up until October 11. All sizes for both boys and girls are needed and can be donated at any of the Adair County Schools or can be dropped off at the Chamber of Commerce building.

Aaron wants the children that have had chemo treatments to get togies, so they will have warm heads, and every child should have warm feet. All items collected will be delivered to the Norton Children's Hospital in Louisville.

Any questions can be directed to Norma at 270-384-6154. Aaron is my grandson, and together over the past 12 years, we have made large contributions to both Norton Children's Hospital (Kosair Hospital) and the Ronald McDonald House with the help of our wonderful community.
