Maxine Burton, 72 Funeral services were held Friday, April 4, at 3:30 p.m., at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home for Maxine Burton, 3043 Liberty Road, Columbia. Mrs. Burton passed away on Wedesday, April 2, at Westlake Regional Hospital Emergency Room. She was the daughter of the late Noah and Mary Shelton Corbin.She is survived by her husband, Orlin Burton, Columbia; one daughter, Peggy Ann Harvey, Columbia; two sons, Donnie Burton and his wife Phyllis, and Ronnie Burton, also of Columbia; three sisters, Sophia Burchett, Dorathy Fletcher, and Gladys Rice, all of Columbia; and five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister, Austin, Ed, Harold, and Enola Corbin. Mrs. Burton was a member of Hadley's Community Church and a homemaker. Bro. Elbert Hadley and Bro. Steve Willis officiated at the funeral. Interment was in Columbia Cemetery. Pallbearers were Lonnie Page, Jamie Cowan, Eugen Cowan, Clifton Hadley, Gerald Hadley, and Mike Loy.
