Leora B. Janes Services were held Friday, March 28, 2003, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home for Leora B. Janes. Mrs. Janes, from the Gradyville community, was the daughter of the late Willie and Lillie Mae Kemp Hamilton and the widow of Freeman Janes who preceded her in death in 1973. She was a member of the Gradyville United Methodist Church and a homemaker. She is survived by two sons, Bernard Janes and his wife Lv of Columbia; and Russell Janes and his wife Nancy of Shepherdsville; two daughters, Edra Kelsey and her husband Garnett, and Chloristeen Hrastinski, all of Louisville. She was preceded in death by a daughter Orilla Marie Stone, and by four brothers and three sisters: Porter, Carl, Wilburn and Guy Hamlett; Ortella Howard, Calmer Clem and Mary Vaughn. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 2 step-great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Rev. Doug Lyons officiated at the services. Pallbearers were: Jerry and Michael Hrastinski, David Janes, Steve Stone, Darrell Coffey and Dallas Keaton.
