Local connection in People Magazine this week Spencer County High school wrestling coach Tom McKenna is featured in the August 15 issue of People Magazine as one of their "Heroes Among Us." McKenna was hugely influential in the high school career of Lindsey Wilson College athlete Brandon Reed. Reed, who plans to graduate in 2021, won the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Championship in March (see Wrestling: Bradford and Reed win individual national titles). Reed gives big credit to McKenna in the article, saying "I don't know where I would be without him. He believed in me and showed me that if I work hard there's nothing I can't do in life."
