LWC Swimming announces 2019-20 schedule

By Chris Coombs

Lindsey Wilson swimming head coach Alicia Kemnitz announced the men and women's schedule for the upcoming 2019-20 season on Tuesday.

Eight total regular-season events are on the slate with six taking place in Columbia at the Holloway Center Natatorium.

The season kicks off once again with the LWC Fall Frenzy on Sept. 27-28. It marks the sixth-consecutive season Lindsey Wilson has opened the competitive year with the two-day event.

The Blue Raiders host their first dual of the season on Oct. 5 as perennial conference power Cumberlands (Ky.) visits Columbia. The opening dual is the first of three straight home contests as LWC takes on Asbury (Ky.) and Life (Ga.) on Oct. 11 and 26, respectively.

Lindsey Wilson hits the road for the first time on Nov. 2 as the Blue Raiders travel just down the road to Campbellsville for a tri-dual. LWC is set to face host Campbellsville (Ky.) and Union (Ky.) at the meet.

The Blue Raiders return home for another tri-dual on Nov. 9 when Thomas More (Ky.), a newcomer to the conference, and Bethel (Tenn.) both pay visits to the Holloway Center Natatorium.

Next up is the Brenau (Ga.) Invitational on Nov. 22-23. Lindsey Wilson opens the 2020 part of the schedule on Jan. 18 when they close out the regular season with a homestand against Campbellsville and Thomas More.

Postseason competition is slated to begin on Feb. 6 with the Mid-South Conference Championships at the Kingsport Aquatic Center in Kingsport, Tennessee. The 2020 NAIA National Championships are set to begin on March 4 at the Allan Jones Aquatic Center in Knoxville, Tenn.
