By Chris Coombs

The schedule for the upcoming 2019 Lindsey Wilson cycling season was released by head coach Josh Patton on Tuesday.

Five mountain bike and two track events are on the slate during the opening three months of the season, including a pair of national championship races.

The season begins on Aug. 23-24 with a track race in Rock Hill, South Carolina at Belmont Abbey (S.C.). The mountain bike portion of the schedule kicks off on Aug. 31 and Sept. 1 when LWC travels to Oliver Spring, Tennessee in a race hosted by the University of Tennessee.

A little over a week later comes the final track event of the season, the USAC Collegiate Track Nationals in Rock Hill, S.C., on Sept. 11-14. On Sept. 21-22 LWC is set to take a trip to Banner Elk, North Carolina for the Lees-McRae College race.

Cycling action descends upon Columbia on Sept. 28-29 when the Blue Raiders host their home mountain bike race.

October begins with a trip to Auburn, Alabama for a mountain bike race on Oct. 5-6 that is being hosted by Auburn University. The Blue Raiders finish things off at the USAC Collegiate Mountain Bike Nationals from Oct. 10-13 in Big Bear Lake, California.
