William Thomas Gilpin, 85, Casey County, KY (1933-2019) William Thomas Gilpin, age 85, of Liberty, KY passed away on Sunday August 4, 2019 at his residence. Funeral Services will be held 1pmCT/2pmET Tuesday August 6, 2019 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Homer Hecht officiating. Visitation opens at 11am prior to the service. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery with Military Rites performed by the Casey County Honor Guard. He was born October 29, 1933 a son of the late William Clyde Gilpin and Mattie Frances Gilpin. He was a Retired U.S. Postal Worker, a Retired Kentucky Air National Guardsman and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was the widower of Kathryn Atwood Gilpin who passed away on February 9, 2010. Survivors include: Two Sons: Jonathan and (Holly) Gilpin of Lexington, KY and Stuart and (Sarah) Clements of Liberty One Daughter: Melissa Dudley of Liberty Three Grandchildren: Grace Clements-Ray, Molly Dudley and Clara Gilpin One Sister: Emogene Brummitt of Florida. Preceding him in death besides his parents and spouse was One Brother, Gerald S. Gilpin. Bartle Funeral Home, 142 KY Hwy 49, Liberty, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
