ACSO: Large marijuana growing operation cut down By Sheriff Josh Brockman Adair County Sheriff's Office On Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at approximately 7:30amCT, Adair County Sheriff's Office deputies, along with Sheriff Brockman, responded to a cornfield 12 miles east of Columbia. Acting on information of suspicious vehicle being seen in the area, and with the use of a drone, marijuana was found to be growing between the rows of corn. After more than three hours, the Sheriff's Office had cut and packed out 1,017 marijuana plants. The plants ranged from 3 feet to 6 feet in height, with a street value of over $500,000 at full maturity. This story was posted on 2019-07-31 14:12:36
