Adair Co. Grand Jury returns indictments Tue 23 July 2019

Indictments brought against 8 individuals from Russell Springs, Elkhorn, Lexington, and Columbia, KY, and Hughesville, PA on charges including flight, theft, trafficking, wanton endangerment, burglary, nonsupport, and criminal mischief.

NOTE: Indictments are considered formal charges. An indictment is not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by indictment is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.

The Adair County, KY Circuit Court grand jury, Columbia, KY, returned indictments against the following individuals on Tuesday, 23 July 2019:

  • Michael S. Nichols, Commanche Way, Russell Springs, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00136. Charged with 10 counts. Count 1 - Fleeing or evading the police, 1st degree. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Count 3 - Wanton endangerment, 1st degree. Count 4 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Count 5 - Wanton endangerment, 1st degree. Count 6 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Count 7 - Criminal mischief, 1st degree. Count 8 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Count 9 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, methamphetamine. Count 10 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail set at $10,000 cash. Arraignment 8/16/2019 at 9amCT.

  • Jessica M. Parsons, Guthrie St., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00137. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, 2g+ methamphetamine. Count 2 - Trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, 2g+ methamphetamine. Bail set at $10,000 cash. Arraignment 8/27/2019 at 9amCT.

  • Anthony B. Shreve, Upper Stoner Creek Rd., Elkhorn, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00138. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, 2nd or subsequent offense, 2g+ methamphetamine. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Bail set at $10,000 cash. Arraignment 8/6/2019 at 9amCT.

  • Jason S. Stanley, Hwy 1611, Russell Springs, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00139. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Criminal mischief, 1st degree. Count 2 - Cruelty to animals, 2nd degree. Bail set at $2,500 cash/SP. Arraignment 8/27/2019 at 9amCT.

  • Stephen Andrew Tidwell, E. Academy St., Hughesville, PA Indictment No. 19-CR-00140. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Flagrant nonsupport. Bail set at $2,500 cash non-ref. Arraignment 8/27/2019 at 9amCT.

  • Edrich Deundre Ward, Lynwood Cr., Lexington, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00141. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Flagrant nonsupport. Bail set at $2,500 cash non-ref. Arraignment 8/27/2019 at 9amCT.

  • Nichole I. Whetstone, Knox St., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00142. Charged with 3 counts. Count 1 - Burglary, 3rd degree. Count 2 - Theft by unlawful taking disposition, under $500. Count 3 - Criminal trespass, 2nd degree. Bail set at $1,500 cash. Arraignment 8/6/2019 at 9amCT.

  • James Michael Whitaker, New Concord Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00143. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, 2g+ methamphetamine. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Bail set at $10,000 cash. Arraignment 8/27/2019 at 9amCT.
