Letter: Adair County lost a true treasure, Miss Cynthia Rowe Victoria Pike writes: This week Adair County lost a true treasure, Miss Cynthia Rowe. She served her community for many years as an Adair County Jaycee. Also she served at the food pantry behind the Methodist church on Burkesville street. There are many children and adults who didn't go to bed hungry in this community because of her efforts. She served as chair of Parks and Recreation board as well and did her very best to see the children had a nice place to play. She was always willing to try to help anyone in need through her many connections. I will be lost without my friend. Where one was, the other wasn't far behind. She was 81 but she certainly didn't seem like it. She kept up with the rest of us 50-ish year olds up to this week. She will be greatly missed by many. --Vicky This story was posted on 2019-07-20 07:43:11
