By Sheriff Josh Brockman
Adair County Sheriff's Office

On Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at 4:25pmCT, Deputy Josh Durbin was Dispatched to an auto collision with injuries on KY 61 South.

Upon investigation it was found that a 2018 Dodge Ram operated by Tommy Ray, 53, of Tennessee, was attempting a left hand turn from the LBN Parkway exit ramp on to KY61. Ray pulled into the path of a 2004 Dodge Caravan operated by Pat Morris, 60, of Adair County. Morris was traveling on KY 61 toward town with right of way when struck.

The impact caused the Caravan to overturn and come to rest approximately 200 feet from the point of impact.

Morris was treated for head injuries on the scene by Adair County EMS, and transported to T.J. Health Columbia for additional treatment.

The Adair County Sheriff's Office is continuing the investigation.
