CPD: Meth arrest on Greensburg Street

On Friday, July 5, 2019, while on general patrol, officers came upon a male and female on Greensburg Street in the midst of a verbal altercation.

After stopping and speaking with both subjects it was found there was an active domestic violence order in place against the male subject. Upon search of the male there was a white crystal substance and paraphernalia located on his person.


Allen Glen Yates, 55, of Columbia, was taken into custody and charged with violation of an EPO/DVO, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance 1st offense methamphetamine; a class D felony.

Officer Evan Burton was the arresting officer. He was assisted on scene by Officer Jordan Dean.
