Bobby Gene Holt, 80, Russell Springs, KY (1939-2019)

He was the owner of Holt's Mobile Homes, and a member of Mt Pleasant United Methodist Church where he was song leader as well as Sunday school teacher for many years.

Bobby Gene Holt of Russell Springs, KY passed away Saturday, June 29th, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was 80 years old.

The funeral service will be held at Mt Pleasant United Methodist Chrurch, 3882 Hwy 92, Russell Springs, KY, at 11amCT on Thursday, July 4th, with Bro. Bodie Emerson and Bro. John Blakey officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt Pleasant Church Cemetery Russell Springs, KY.

Friends may visit on Wednesday from 5pmCT until 8pmCT at H. E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N. Main St., Jamestown, KY, and Thursday from 9amCT to 11amCT at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.


Bobby was born in Russell Springs, KY on April 11, 1939, a son of the late Rose (Selby) and Estus Holt.

He was a member of Mt Pleasant United Methodist Church where he was song leader as well as Sunday school teacher for many years.

He was the owner of Holt's Mobile Homes.

He is survived by:
  • His wife of 60 years, Ida (Antle) Holt, of Russell Springs, KY
  • Two sisters, Helen Richards, of Russell Springs, KY, and Margaret Walls, of Louisville, KY
  • A host of nieces and nephews
He is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters Marie Kilpatrick, Ruby McGowan, Barbara Jean Holt, two brothers Carson and Ralph Holt.

The family requests memorial donations to the Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery. They can be made at the funeral home or church.
