Adair Co. Grand Jury returns indictments Tue 25 June 2019

Indictments brought against 5 individuals from Columbia, Russell Springs, and Campbellsville, KY, on charges including possession, DUI, abuse, and assault.

NOTE: Indictments are considered formal charges. An indictment is not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by indictment is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.

The Adair County, KY Circuit Court grand jury, Columbia, KY, returned indictments against the following individuals on Tuesday, 25 June 2019:

  • Jerry Dean Garrett Indictment No. 19-CR-00127. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 2nd offense, methamphetamine. Bail set at $1,500 cash, arraignment 8/6/2019 at 9amCT.

  • Brandon Lee Meece, Kamden Dr., Russell Springs, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00128. Charged with 6 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a conrolled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, methamphetamine. Count 2 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Count 3 - Operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/drugs/etc., .08, 1st offense. Count 4 - Reckless driving. Count 5 - Failure to produce insurance card. Count 6 - Failure to wear seat belts. Bail set at $1,500 cash w/MCR, arraingment 7/23/2019 at 9amCT.

  • Rebecca A. Pittman, Gidget Trail, Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00129. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Sexual abuse, 1st degree. Count 2 - Official misconduct, 1st degree. Bail set at $7,500 cash, arraignment 7/23/2019 at 9amCT.

  • Randall Scott Conner, Cumberland Ridge Court, Russell Springs, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00130. Charged with 6 counts. Count 1 - Operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/drugs/etc., .08, 4th or subsequent offense (aggravating circumstance). Count 2 - No operator's license. Count 3 - Reckless driving. Count 4 - Speeding (26MPH+ over limit). Count 5 - Failure to produce insurance card. Count 6 - Possession of open alcoholic beverage container in motor vehicle. Arraingment 7/23/2019 at 9amCT.

  • Christopher Patrick Benham, Maple St., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00131. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Assault, 1st degree. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Arraignment 7/23/2019 at 9amCT.
