KSP: Multiple injuries in Sunday church van accident

Metcalfe County, KY - Trooper Ricky Cross is investigating a single vehicle injury collision that occurred on Sunday, June 9th, 2019, at approximately 3:48pmCT, four miles east of Edmonton on the Louie B. Nunn Cumberland Parkway.

Terry Taylor, age 59 of Campbellsville was operating a 1998 Ford Church van, east bound on the Cumberland Parkway when a back tire blew out. Taylor lost control of the vehicle causing the vehicle to exit the roadway overturning several times.

Six occupants were transported by EMS to T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, and one by private vehicle. Some passengers were belted, some were not.


The passengers were: Neal Shoemaker age 59 of Somerset, Jonas Hatcher age 34 of Campbellsville, Shirley Osbourne age 66 of Campbellsville, Lucinda Robinson age 74 of Campbellsville, Shirley Thomas age 72 of Greensburg, and Christen Anthony age 33 of Greensburg.

Tpr. Cross was assisted on the scene by Sgt. Adam Likins, Metcalfe County Fire and EMS.
