Marie Pevely Carman, 88, Liberty, KY (1930-2019)

Marie Carman of Liberty, Kentucky, died Saturday May 18, 2019 at the Russell County Hospital. She was 88 years old.

Funeral service for Marie Carman will be 1pmET on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at the Thomas Ridge Church, with Special Music by Mike Bastin. A private burial will follow in the South Fork Cemetery.

Visitation is requested from 10amET until 1pmET at the church.

She was born July 23, 1930 in Casey County to the late Woodrow & Florence Chapman Pevely.

She was a homemaker and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Twilla Cunningham; 4 brothers, Charles, James, Virgil, & Paul Pevely; 1 sister, Virgie Parton.

Survivors include:
  • Her husband: Hugh Fletcher
  • Two children: Carla (John) Owens, Lawrenceburg, Ky and Hershel (Joan) Lawhorn, Liberty, Ky
  • Four grandchildren-
  • Five great grandchildren
  • One great great grandchild
  • A brother: David Pevely, Liberty, Ky
  • Two sisters: Mary Bray, Grand Rivers, Ky and Janie Weddle, Russell Springs
