Letter: Mountain Laurel in Lindsey parade floats Billy Joe Fudge writes: Mr. Marvin Spickard engineered and designed the famous Agriculture Department Floats which appeared in the Lindsey Wilson Homecoming Parade each year. His favorite float skirt was chicken wire with broom sedge weaved in with Mountain Laurel. The Mountain Laurel came from the Knifley and Neatsville areas along the Green River and its tributaries. It was beautiful, if I do say so myself! --BJFComments re photo 83694 Mountain Laurel growing wild in the area This story was posted on 2019-05-12 20:37:26
