Ribeye lunch celebrates May as Beef Month

By Nick Roy

Beef Month is a time to celebrate the community of farmers and ranchers who work hard every day to raise safe and nutritious beef that is enjoyed by consumers around the world. Per the most recent statistics available, Adair County is home to 20,000 beef cows. After calving, that's nearly 40,000 head of beef cattle! Adair County ranks tenth in Kentucky for beef cows.

The Adair County Cattlemen's Association will be celebrating May Beef Month by offering a $5 ribeye plate lunch on Monday, May 13, 2019 at the Adair County Cooperative Extension Service, 409 Fairground Street, Columbia, KY, from 11amCT until 1pmCT or while supplies last. The meal will include a ribeye sandwich, chips, dessert, and a drink. The event is open to the public. You may dine-in or get-it-to-go.
