Hunter Durham Volunteers The Incorporation Of Heart Of Adair

This article first appeared in issue 11, and was written by Linda Waggener.

Thanks to downtown Attorney Hunter Durham, Heart of Adair is about to become an official not-for-profit corporation.

At last check Hunter said he expected the final paperwork to be done any day now. This marks the accomplishment of one of the main goals set out in the organizational phase last year.

Under this new status, all Heart of Adair funds raised toward downtown revitalization will be tax deductible.

Being incorporated also gives the group a more solid footing in applying for grants available to help restore and upgrade Adair County land and buildings.
