LWC Softball continues MSC action against Cumberland By Benjamin Riegger The Lindsey Wilson softball travels to Cumberland (Tenn.) on Wednesday, April 17 for Mid-South Conference action. First pitch is scheduled for 1pmCT at Billy Dee Ross Stadium, Lebanon, TN. The Blue Raiders (36-2, 15-1 MSC) hit the dirt after sweeping West Virginia Tech on Tuesday afternoon 8-0 and 9-1. As a team, the Blue Raiders are batting .358 with 57 home runs, 258 RBIs with an on-base percentage of .415. Lindsey Wilson bullpen continues to boast strong numbers against conference opponents with a 1.41 earned run average on 242.2 innings pitched while opposing batters are batting .189. Jaydee Boursaw leads Lindsey Wilson in home runs this season with 13, while Makea-Al Kaluau adds in with 11 this season. Boursaw and Kaluau combine for a total of 76-of the-243 RBIs drove in by the Blue Raiders. Cumberland (20-17, 6-12 MSC) returns to action after splitting their series with Pikeville on Thursday and Friday. As a team, the Phoenix are batting .310 with 16 home runs and 136 RBIs. Cumberland is ranked in the top-25 in the NAIA in total bases stolen with 79. Tyra Graham leads Cumberland with a .390 batting average with seven home runs and 20 RBIs. Graham is the team leader in stolen bases stealing 22 bases out of 23 attempts. Kayley Caplinger leads the Phoenix bullpen with a 3.08 earned run average on 88.2 innings pitched while striking out 50. Wednesday matchup marks the 50th meeting of the two programs with Lindsey Wilson taking a 41-8 lead overall.
