Jonathan Ray Spalding appointed to KY Court of Appeals By Nicole Burton Frankfort, KY - Gov. Matt Bevin has appointed Jonathan Ray Spalding, of Lebanon, to the office of Judge of the Court of Appeals for the 3rd Appellate District, Division 1. Spalding is a 1998 Summa Cum Laude graduate of the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law and a 1995 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Campbellsville College. Spalding has practiced as an independent lawyer for 20 years and is currently the city attorney for Bradfordsville, Kentucky. In addition to running his private pracitce, he regularly appears before the juvenile court system as a court-appointed parent advocate or guardian ad litem for abused, neglected and dependent children. He will serve until the position is filled in accordance with the results of the November 2019 general election, pursuant to the provisions of Section 152 of the Kentucky Constitution. "I would like to take this opportunity to thank Governor Bevin for the opportunity to serve," said Spalding.
