Adair Co. Grand Jury returns indictments Tue 9 Apr 2019
Indictments brought against 17 individuals from Columbia, Dunnville, Liberty, Russell Springs, and Campbellsville, KY, on charges including trafficking, possession, DUI, theft, rape, assault, and bail jumping.
NOTE: Indictments are considered formal charges. An indictment is not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by indictment is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.
The Adair County, KY Circuit Court grand jury, Columbia, KY, returned indictments against the following individuals on Tuesday, 9 April 2019:
- James Timothy Cook, Millerfield Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00058. Charged with 3 counts. Count 1 - Trafficking in marijuana, >8oz but <5lbs, 2nd or subsequent offense, firearms enhanced. Count 2 - Possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. Count 3 - Possession of a defaced firearm. Arraignment 4/23/2019 at 9amCT.
- Jeffrey D. Bryant, Pellyton East Rd., Dunnville, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00059. Charged with 4 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 2nd offense, methamphetamine. Count 2 - Operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/drugs/etc., .08 aggravating circumstance, 1st offense. Count 3 - Possession of open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle. Count 4 - Failure to wear seat belts. Bail set at $1,500 cash w/MCR. Arraignment 4/23/2019 at 9amCT.
- Richard Alan Bernard (a/k/a Richie Bernard), Allen Schoolhouse Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00060. Charged with 2 counts.
