LWC outdoor track and field at UC Invitational By Benjamin Riegger Williamsburg, KY - The Lindsey Wilson men and women's outdoor track and field complete day one of the UC Invitational in Williamsburg, Kentucky. The men's track team sits in sixth place with 22 team points, while the women's team is in eighth with eight points after day one. Levi Owens leads the men's team with a first place finish in the 3,000 meter steeplechase finishing in 9:50.45. In the 1,500 meter run, Jordan Tucker led Lindsey Wilson finishing in seventh with a run of 4:11.45. Noah Brown finished in 18th in 4:21.32 while Aaron Mattingly took 21st with a time of 4:24.34. Jim Headrick led the men's team in the 5,000 meters finishing in fifth with a time of 16:02.36. Jonathan long took ninth place finishing in 16:40.55, while Seth Hardwick captured 10th with a time of 16:53.49. In the men's field events, Austin Campbell led Lindsey Wilson with a fifth place finish in the hammer throw, with a throw of 43.66 meters. Anthony Hampton added a seventh place finish with a throw of 42.41 meters, while Jeron Thornton added in with a 10th place finish with a 38.44 meter toss. Meredith Johnson led the women's team with a fourth place finish in the 3,000 meter steeplechase with a time of 13:24.15. In the 1,500 meter run, Kirsten Crepps captured 13th place with a time of 5:37.49, while Elsa Diaz finished right behind Crepps with a time of 5:41.00. In the women's field events, Malorie Carter took ninth in the Javelin throw, with a toss of 20.60 meters. Alexis Mckee added in with a 10th place finish with a 17.78 throw.
