Green River Lake planning a 50th anniversary celebration

Green River Lake has released the 50th anniversary Calendar of Events for planning so residents of Taylor and Adair Counties can be part of every event. Events from May through October will be filled with activity, play, special celebration events like a romantic, candlelight dinner on top of the dam, and more. The event dates follow:



May 11, 2019...I'm A Dam Runner 5k/Fun Walk
June 1, 2019...Kids Outdoor Day
June 8, 2019...Dinner on the Dam
June 15, 2019...50th Anniversary Celebration
August 17, 2019...Kids Fishing Derby
September 21, 2019...Lakeshore Cleanup
October 5, 2019...Fishing with a Veteran

Dinner on the Dam, a fundraiser event, will be held on June 8, 2019, 7pmET. Participants may enjoy a lavish buffet at the first ever event. Dave Shuffett, columnist and adventurer, will be the guest speaker. More information will be coming - just save the dates!
