ACSO: Numerous drug arrests on Friday and Saturday

The Adair County Sheriff's Office arrested five individuals on drug charges over the weekend, as the result of traffic stops and ongoing investigations, including individuals from Fairplay, Columbia, and Russell Springs, KY.


On Friday, March 29, 2019, Joseph Burton, age 20, was arrested after a traffic stop on Water Works Street. He was charged with:
  • 1 - Operating a Motor Vehicle Under influence
  • 2 - Possession of Marijuana
  • 3 - Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

On Friday, March 29, 2019, Sheriff's Deputies went to the home of Cody Gadberry, located in the Fairplay community. As a result of an investigation that began in early March, Gadberry was arrested on charges of
  • 1 - Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st degree
  • 2 - Possession of Marijuana
  • 3 - warrant of arrest for Adair District Court served .

On Saturday, March 30, 2019, a traffic stop was initiated at mile marker 54 on the Louie B Nunn Parkway. As a result, Sarah Cox, age 38, of Russell Springs, KY, was arrested for
  • 1 - Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st degree Methamphetamine
  • 2 - Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

On Saturday, March 30, 2019, Sheriff's Deputies initiated a traffic stop on the Veterans Memorial Bypass. As a result, Samantha Fields, age 27, of Columbia, KY, was arrested on charges of
  • 1 - Possession of Controlled Substance 1st degree Methamphetamine
  • 2 - Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

On Saturday, March 30, 2019, Clifton Bault, age 30, of Columbia, KY, was arrested after Sheriff's Deputies responded to a reported non-injury collision. As a result of the investigation, Bault was charged with
  • 1 - Operating a motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Drugs
  • 2 - Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st degree Methamphetamine
  • 3 - Operating on DUI suspended license
  • 4 - Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

All individuals were lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail by the Adair County Sheriffs Office.


NOTE: An arrest is not a finding of guilt. An individual placed under arrest is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.
