Reagan Turner named to the NAIA All-America Team By Chris Wells Reagan Turner, the Lindsey Wilson College sophomore from Gamaliel, KY, has been named to the NAIA Division I Women's Basketball Second-Team All-America Team. Earlier this season, Turner was named the Mid-South Conference Player of the Year, first-team all-conference and to the WBCA NAIA Coaches' All-America Team. Turner led the Mid-South Conference and finished sixth in the NAIA this season averaging 20.4 points per game. Her scoring average is tied for the eighth-best single season scoring average in the program's history. J'Nayah Hall also earned a mention in the season-ending honor. Hall was selected NAIA All-America Honorable Mention. Turner shot nearly 46 percent from the field, almost 39 percent from beyond the 3-point arc, and 81.2 percent from the free-throw line during the year. She averaged 3.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists per outing this season while collecting 75 steals -- the 16th highest total in the NAIA. Earlier this season, Turner became the 13th Blue Raider in the program's history to reach 1,000 points. She achieved the mark in 58 career games -- the fourth fastest in the program's history. Turner becomes the sixth Blue Raider -- and the 12th time -- to earn NAIA All-American honors. Hall was second on the team and eighth in the conference with a 12.2 scoring average. Hall shot 40.2 percent from the field and 70.3 percent from the charity stripe. She averaged 5.4 rebounds and two assists per game during the season. Hall was named first-team all-conference and WBCA honorable mention. She is the fifth Blue Raider to earn the NAIA honorable mention recognition. Lindsey Wilson finished the 2018-19 season with a 23-11 record, reaching the second round of the NAIA Division I Women's Basketball National Tournament. This story was posted on 2019-03-21 16:24:08
