Perry Watson, Jr., 74, Glasgow, KY (1944-2019)

He had previously worked for Manning Motors Express and later worked for U.S.F. Holland Trucking where he retired after 16 years of service. He was also a member of Teamsters Union Local 89.

Perry Watson, Jr. of Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2019. He was 74 years old.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2019 at 1pmCT at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY, with burial in Spears Cemetery.

The family requests visitation on Friday, March 23, 2019 from 3pmCT until 9pmCT at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home.


Perry, Jr. was born on November 6, 1944 in Cumberland County, KY to the late Perry Albert Watson and Maxie Cinda Spears Watson.

He had previously worked for Manning Motors Express and later worked for U.S.F. Holland Trucking where he retired after 16 years of service. He was also a member of Teamsters Union Local 89.

He served in the United States Army Reserve where he was promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Townsend.

Survivors Include:
  • His Wife- Linda Watson of Bowling Green, KY
  • Three Children- Liz McClellan and her husband Mark, Sherri Hammer and her husband Matt, and Chris Carter and his wife Marla all of Glasgow, KY
  • One Sister- Judy Watson Wise of Burkesville, KY
  • One Brother- Eddie Watson of Burkesville, KY
  • Three Grandchildren- Railey McClellan, Jordan Carter, and Joel Terry "J.T." Carter
  • 2 Great Grandchildren- Koleton Carter and Kade Carter
  • and a host of other relatives and friends.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to the Spears Cemetery or Long Cemetery and may be left at the funeral home.
