ASCO: Two charged with meth possession in Adair County

Two Adair County residents have been arrested on drug charges after search of a residence.

On 3-8-19 at 6:01pmCT Sheriff Brockman, Chief Deputy Justin Cross, Deputy Josh Durbin, and Deputy Chandler Staten went to a residence located off Neat Hollow Road in Adair County to conduct a search where they suspected the sale of narcotics.
During the search several bags of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were discovered in the home. As a result, the following people were charged:



Christopher Carson, age 37, of Columbia - 1. Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st degree Methamphetamine - FTA warrant for Adair District court was executed along with an EPO being served;

Rebecca Young, age 32, of Columbia - 1. Possession of Controlled Substance 1st degree Methamphetamine - 2. Tampering with Physical Evidence.

The case is being investigated by Deputies Cross and Staten.


NOTE: An arrest is not a finding of guilt. An individual placed under arrest is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.

The Adair County Sheriff's Office went to a residence located off Neat Hollow Road in Adair County to conduct a search of a residence where they suspected narcotics being sold. During the search several bags of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were discovered in the home.
