LWC Softball travels to IU-Southeast on Monday afternoon

The Lindsey Wilson softball team travels to Indiana University-Southeast on Monday for a game starting at 1:30pmCT at Koetter Sports Softball Complex, 700 Hausfeldt Lane, New Albany, IN.

The Blue Raiders (10-0) return to action after defeating Huntington (Ind.) 7-0 and 1-0 on Saturday, March 2 at Marilyn D. Sparks Park.


Lindsey Wilson is hitting a .381 while driving in 72 RBI's this season. The Blue Raiders rank first in NAIA in home runs per game, averaging two per game. The Blue Raider pitching staff is holding batters to a .206 batting average while maintaining a 1.08 earned run average ranking them fifth in the NAIA in earned run average.

Jaydee Boursaw leads individual efforts ranking first in the NAIA in total home runs with nine. Boursaw ranks third in the NAIA in slugging percentage at 1.412. Hannah Epperson leads the Mid-South Conference in earned run average with a 0.32 earned run average in pitching.

IU-Southeast (4-8) returns to action after defeating Lindenwood-Bellville (Ill.) 6-2 and Oakland City (Ind.) 6-2 at the Elizabethtown Tournament on Thursday.

IU-Southeast is has a .307 batting average while driving in 54 RBIs. The Grenadiers rank in the top 25 in the NAIA in total doubles, hitting 25 this season.

Sydney Seger leads IU-Southeast in the RBI's, driving in 14 while maintaining a .270 batting average.

Monday's matchup marks the ninth meeting, with Lindsey Wilson leading 8-1. The last matchup happened in May of 2012 in an NAIA Softball National Championship tournament game, where LWC won 10-0 over the Grenadiers.

The Lindsey Wilson softball team is set for action on Monday, at 1:30pmCT against IU-Southeast at Koetter Sports Softball Complex.
