One dies in Thursday auto accident in Taylor County

Taylor County Sheriff deputies investigated a two vehicle accident on March 7, 2019 at 7:59pmET on Greensburg Road west of Davis Road in Taylor County that resulted in one death.


Unit one over corrected the vehicle crossing over into the westbound lanes. Unit two traveling west on Greensburg Road, tried to avoid hitting unit one.

Unit two struck the rear passenger side of unit one.

Operator of unit one, Sharon Clark, 62, of Campbellsville, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The operator and two passengers of unit two were taken to Taylor regional hospital.

One passenger of unit two was later flown to Vanderbilt hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Deputies Paul Pinson and Mark dickens were assigned on scene by CTCEMS, green MS and Campbellsville Taylor County fire rescue.
