Merribeth L. Cahoe, 68, Columbia, KY (1951-2019)

Mrs. Cahoe was the former owner of The Painted Cottage in Columbia. She was an artist, and painted many pieces of furniture and murals for the community.

Merribeth L. Cahoe of Columbia died Friday, March 8, 2019 at her residence. She was 68 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 2pmCT on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY, with burial to follow in the Haven Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 10amCT on Tuesday at the funeral home.


Born on January 12, 1951, in Detroit, MI, she was the daughter of the late Dean and Betty Ann Price Linson.

Mrs. Cahoe was of the Christian faith and was the former owner of The Painted Cottage in Columbia. She was an artist, and painted many pieces of furniture and murals for the community.

Survivors include her husband James Cahoe of Columbia; two children Gary Fries of Liberty, KY and Corrina Corno of Stephens City, VA; two step-daughters Melissa Cook (Greg) of Louisville, KY and Lori Thompson of Mt. Washington, KY; three grandchildren Joe and Landon Dahlinger and Noah Fries; four step-grandchildren Whitney, Aaron and Branden Vickers and Kadence Thompson; a brother Gary Linson and three sisters Janie Roberts, Sharon Linson and Annie Cullum.
