Alma Allen, 92, Campbellsville, KY (1926-2019)

Alma loved working with her girls at Fruit of the Loom. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Alma Allen of Campbellsville passed away on Monday, March 4, 2019. She was 92 years old.

The funeral service will be held at 11amET on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Ave., Campbellsville, KY, with Rev. John Butler officiating. Burial will follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Visitation is requested from 5pmET until 8pmET on Friday, March 8, 2019 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.


Alma Allen of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Robert Clint Goad and Lucy Bell Goad, was born July 29, 1926 in Warren County, Kentucky. She died at 9:55 A.M., Monday, March 4, 2019 in Campbellsville, at the age of 92.

She professed faith in Christ and was member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Alma was a retired supervisor with Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

She united in marriage to Herman Allen January 15, 1943 and he preceded her in death May 3, 1998.

Alma loved working with her girls at Fruit of the Loom. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters: Linda McMahan and husband, Eugene of Campbellsville and Patricia Minor and husband, Don of Glasgow; four grandchildren: Billy Minor (Jenny) and Patrick McMahan (Leah) of Louisville, Allison Minor (Mandy Chestnut) of Alexandria, Virginia and Mathew Minor (Lisa) of Jacksonville, Alabama; seven great-grandchildren: Ashlan Minor, Ella Minor, Elise Minor, Ty Minor, Ryan Chestnut, Walt McMahan and Juliana McMahan; many other relatives and friends.

Expressions of sympathy are requested to be donations to the Taylor County Animal Shelter and those may be made at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.
