LWC Track and Field set to compete at the NAIA National Championships By Clayton Barefield The Lindsey Wilson men's and women's indoor track & field teams compete at the NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships starting on Thursday at the Sanford Jackrabbit Athletic Complex in Brookings, South Dakota. The Blue Raider men's team has five individuals competing as the women's team has five individuals competing as well. LWC is set to compete in a total of 13 events at the championships. The 2019 NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships begin on Thursday at NoonCT. Lindsey Wilson begins competition on Friday at 1pmCT, and event finals will be held on Saturday. On the men's side, Kevin Hallmon competes in the 60-meter dash on Friday at 2:35pmCT and the 200-meter dash at 5pmCT. Hallmon is the top seed for the 200 and third in the 60-meter dash. Goabaone Mosheleketi and Mishi Easterling are set to compete in the long jump on Friday at 4pmCT. Mosheleketi is seeded second while Easterling is 19th. Mosheleketi and Pierre Ezanno compete in the triple jump on Saturday at 1:30pmCT. Mosheleketi is the second seed after his distance of 15.28 meters earlier this year, Ezanno is 28th. Holt Keeling is the final member of the men's side to compete at the event, taking part in the 200-meter with a No. 22 seed. On the women's side, Safia Bright competes in the 60-meter dash at 2:25pmCT on Friday before competing in the 200-meter at 4:40pmCT on Friday as well. Bright is seeded third in the 200 with a best of 25.03 seconds while also competing as the fifth seed in the 60 with a time of 7.64 seconds. Alexia DeHaven-Boyd joins Bright for the track portion at the event, taking part in the 200-meter as the 22nd seed. Annesha Harris competes in the long jump on Friday at 1pmCT. Harris is seeded 29th. Paige Pettell competes in the shot put at 10amCT on Saturday. Pettell is seeded 13th in the event. Oreatha Hurt competes in the triple jump at 10amCT on Saturday as well. Hurt is seeded 31st. Last season at the National Championships the men's team finished 11th, while the women finished 23rd in the team standings. The NAIA is providing live video and live results for the championships.
