Crappie USA coming to Green River Lake in April By Ron Presley Crappie USA is planning a two-day tournament at Green River Lake on April 19-20, 2019. Teams may consist of one or two anglers, with a third member allowed if the angler is under the age of 16. Participating anglers must be a member of the American Crappie Association (ACA). Membership starts at $30 annually, and Entry fees vary from $125-$300 for amateur and pro divisions. A free Crappie Kids Fishing Rodeo will be held in conjunction with the tournament at the weigh-in site. Sign up for the Kids Fishing Rodeo will be Saturday morning at 8amCT. The Kids Rodeo is from 9amCT - 11amCT. The event is free to all children 12 years of age and under. An adult must accompany all participating children. Early registration is available online at crappieusa.com. Late registration and a pre-tournament seminar will be held on April 18, 2019, at Adair County High School, 520 Indian Dr., Columbia, KY. Registration begins at 5pmCT. A National Sponsor Field Test Product Drawing accompanies the seminar starting at 7pmCT. This seminar is open to the public. The tournament weigh-in will be held at Holmes Bend Marina & Resort Inc., 5380 Holmes Bend Rd., Columbia, KY, beginning at 3pmCT.
