LWC Men's basketball hosts Life on Senior Day

The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball hosts Life (Ga.) for Senior Night on Saturday at 4pmCT at Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard Drive, Columbia, KY in their final Mid-South Conference regular season contest of the year.

Three student-athletes in Shakaris Laney, Can Oztamur and Austin Sparrow are being honored in Saturday's ceremony for their contributions to the Lindsey Wilson men's basketball program.


Men's basketball (15-14, 5-8 MSC) returns to action after a 79-71 loss to Cumberlands (Ky.) on Thursday evening.

LWC is shooting 45.7 percent from the field and 36.8 percent from beyond the arc while averaging 78.6 points per game. The Blue Raiders are ranked seventh in the NAIA in total three-point field goals made with294, averaging 10.1 three-point field goals made per game.

Payton Cundiff and Kel Stotts lead the charge for the LWC perimeter shooting. Cundiff ranks 11th in the NAIA in three-point field goal percentage at 47.9 percent from beyond the arc. Stotts is ranked in the top-15 in the NAIA in total three-point field-goal made with 79.

Life (17-12, 7-6 MSC) returns to the floor after a 73-69 home victory against Cumberland (Tenn.) on Thursday evening.

As a team, Life is shooting 45.9 percent from the field and 35.9 percent from beyond the arc, while averaging 82.1 points per game. The Running Eagles defense is ranks fifth in the NAIA in steals per game, averaging 9.1.

Evan Milligan leads Life on the season averaging 14.8 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. Milligan is ranked first in the NAIA in free-throw shooting percentage going 87-of-95 from the charity stripe.

Saturday's matchup marks the 19th meeting, with Life leading the overall series at 13-5. The last matchup occurred on January 26 in which the Blue Raiders defeated Life 72-60 in Marietta, Ga.
