Dr. Ben Tobin to speak at LWC on Mon 25 Feb

Dr. Ben Tobin, a karst hydrologist with the Kentucky Geological Survey (KGS) will speak at Lindsey Wilson College on Monday, February 25, 2019 at 11:30amCT in the Norma and Glen Hodge Center for Discipleship, 402 Helen Flatt Dr., Columbia, KY.

Dr. Tobin who has graduate degrees in biology and geology is interested in interrelationships between biology and hydrology in karst (cave) regions. For his talk, titled "Water Beneath our Feet: Understanding Groundwater Flow in Taylor County and South Central Kentucky", Dr. Tobin will describe the techniques used for mapping underground water flow paths and will present data from ongoing KGS watershed mapping projects at the Homeplace Farm in Taylor County. The talk is free and open to the public.
